I use Castrol Edge 5W-40; works just fine

Amsoil XL 5W-30 in my 2016. Swapped with a new OEM filter every 6K.

Glad to be of help helmyv5. In one message, I mentioned I'd try a more expensive oil next time. I've now been running Castrol EDGE FST-Ti for the last two oil change intervals. Normally, oils are very hard to tell apart from one another (Like how the engine sounds, gas mileage, other \"seat of the pants\" stuff) But, this time I can definitely spot one difference, which is noticeably less sludge in the PCV system than with the Helix Ultra.

Im replacing mine soon...though since switching to 5-40 oil (as per recent VW specs) my oil consumption is far less than before.

This stuff is amazing, totally worth the extra money.

I use this for ever oil change and I've had no problems, CEL, or oil consumption. I drive it hard with autox and have done 20+hour road trips.

Liqui Moly makes some excellent products.

I can confidently say this ‘leichtlauf’ oil really makes a difference. The engine feels healthy on cold starts, hot starts, hard acceleration, etc. Use this oil????????

I run Rotella T6 5w-40 full syn Heavy duty Diesel engine oil in all my small engines with good results. Scooter, ATV, lawn mower, Honda car, and my F350.
