There is such a notion as touring/comfort tires. They are not sporty at all, their advantage is in the ride quality compared to sportiness. And the prices are usually lower.

2nd pic shows dry rot cracking. Odd for a new tire after 6,000mi. You could try warranty through Uniroyal.

Also, Uniroyal has extremely soft rubber compound. All their tyres were very quickly.

It's a uniroyal, probably has pinched steel in sidewall, it will blow sooner than later. Junk it.
