I'm currently sitting at 67k miles on my 2019 GLI without any issues. I'm pretty sure I won't have an issue by 80k miles.
My original water pump lasted 115,000 miles. I saw the fluid levels subside over the years, but never actual signs of a leak. Eventually, the leak became obvious enough to diagnose.
i did add a dipstick fuel filter looked to be newer, plausible considering the somewhat recent pump and injector service, but figured "while im in there..."
When I bought a new intake manifold for my 13 Eos my indy shop charged a little over $600.00 to do the walnut blasting (with before and after pics) and installing the new intake manifold. My VW dealer wanted over $900 for the carbon service. It's unbelievable the difference in idling and actual power the car has now. The car had around 72,000 miles at the time of service.
I had my rotors replaced at 32345 miles with aftermarket brake pads back ordered. 2 months later bad vibration took back to,dealer bad rotors and pads feels good but now rears are squeaking lmao
Brakes don't squeal, but, at least when they're cold, they seem to grind/shudder/skip (not a warped rotor type of shudder) at low speeds.
My 2016 Mk7 GTI is on its 4th water pump/thermostat housing. The first replacement happened at about 27K miles, the second failed at 63K miles, and the third failed at 72K miles. I fully expect this one to leak again soon. I find it ridiculous that VW/Audi don't fix a faulty part after all these years. The plastic thermostat housing is to blame. Instead of a metal housing which can handle the thermal stresses, they continue to use a plastic housing which will start leaking sooner or later.
Am I right to be upset that I was told the rotors are warped because I went through a puddle with hot brakes? Costing me $1300 to fix!
I've posted on here before, but my front rotors were grooved from the day of purchase (only a few lines), and has progressively gotten worse. Of course, last tech inspection, the tech said I had warped rotors, and needed a new set.
