Reviews of Mintex brake pads

I replaced both my front brake discs and pads a month ago and have driven about 1075 miles. On the passenger side, one of the grooves has gone but the other remains and I feel like its getting worse although not 100% sure.

I'm a Mintex Red Box fan, I also upgrade to AutoTech drilled/vented rotors since I drive like I stole it. 2009 Jetta driver.

I've got mintex in mine at the moment and they're not too bad, they weren't very expensive but they seem to do the job

I've been running the stock brakes with aftermarket pads for a few years and it's worked well for me. Mintex 1144, Ferodo DS2500 and Roddisons pads have all been great.

I used Mintex 1144 on my MK7.5 ST. Were great for fast road and some Nurburgring laps in a year.

Adam's front and rear ventilated rotors. Mintex front and rear brake pads. Motul DOT 5.1 Synthetic brake fluid. Goodridge G - Stop stainless steel braided brake lines.

Just get standard oem supplier pads from someone like Mintex. They’re going to be everything you need for a daily driver.

In short: support your local motor factors, and buy Mintex brakes and pads. I've a 107 and the Mintex pads/brakes have been brilliant.

As stated, installed new Mintex front pads and I believe I installed correctly. rattle only occurs when not braking, when brakes applied immediately disappears.
