You're on the right track- replace those worn out plugs. Pre-detonation started on my '18 at 30k. Increasing octane rating to 93 worked up to 58k miles. $50 for a new set of [Autolite Iridium XP5363](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078KWTCF2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) resolved this problem.

I've ran Autolites on my racecar that runs in the 7's for 20+ years with no problem. They are the only thing I trust at the moment
I used them in my 2007 Tacoma with no problems. Left them in for several years.
I put autolite's in my 2010 V6 and they've been perfectly fine.
I just installed a set of Iridium XP 6203 in my Optima 2015 and they're working fine. Gap was incorrect on 2 of them, but was easy to fix.
I would never install Autolite on any car, definitely not the WRX.
Out of all my years replacing spark plugs. The only times I got bad spark plugs that misfired right away is the one time I ordered a fake set thru ebay(my fault for not doing my due diligence) and a set of brand new auto lites from autozone.
I purchased some Autolite XP Iridium spark plugs earlier this month and immediately installed them. Within a mile of driving, the car started shaking violently and the check engine light came on. I immediately turned around and reinstalled the old plugs and the problems went away.
Autolite are pure trash maybe suitable for a lawn mower if you like breaking plugs off in heads
Autolites gotta be the worst fkn plugs on the market rn.
