AMSOIL Engine oil
Able-Flatworm7252
  • Warning light:
Rating 4.0

I just put Amsoil High Mileage, 0w20 in my 2012 Camry to see if it will benefit my engine with 221,000 on it. I switched from Mobil 1, which I used for years changing at 5K intervals, but had to keep topping off very often. The engine flush was excellent, the oil I drained only had 1500 miles on it and it came out looking like liquid coal! So a cleaning did take place, I'll see how it goes.

Pros: engine flush excellent
Cons: topping off very often
Mileage: 1500 km

GENERAL TIRE Tires
Icebounder299
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 4.0

I would recommend the General g max AS 05 or newer AS 07. They're pretty affordable and are great all seasons. On Tirerack you can see the ratings and can get them pretty cheap there as well. I've had those on my old ES 350 and recently on my 2022 Camry SE after the oem tires became unbearably loud and wore out at 40k miles.

Pros: affordable, great all seasons
Cons: OEM tires unbearably loud
Mileage: 40000 km

OEM Toyota Battery

See alot of "battery replacement cost" blah blah. 1) I have had 4 hybrid work cars (3 Camry and 1 Prius) All driven to 150k or more miles without battery issue. 2) Battery is warrantied by Toyota for 10 yrs unlimited miles 3) If you drive car alot the battery will last along time. If it sits 5 days week and you dont drive alot the battery has a small chance to be bad in 10 yrs. 10 YEARS and that like worst case if sits and not driven combined with being outside in really hot or really cold or both (Northeast). I've never seen it though in 4 cars.

Pros: battery lasts long time
Cons: small chance battery bad
Vehicle: Toyota Camry
Mileage: 241401 km

AISIN Water pump

Just wanted to update the community that it took me about 1.5 hours with me taking things slow to change the water pump on my Kentucky made 2018 Camry SE with 165 miles. I changed the water pump with an Aisin model with a new seal as well as drained and refilled the coolant. From what I understand there is a tsb about a false positive water pump error but in my case it was a part failure. After replacement the check engine code went away on its own immediately on first start.

Pros: check engine code went away
Cons: part failure
Vehicle: Toyota Camry
Mileage: 265 km

Denso Wiper blades
yomtvfats
  • Wipe quality:
Rating 4.0

I have updated my 6th Gen (2007-2011) Camry blades to OEM Toyota/Denso Designer 8th Gen Honda Accord (2008-2012) length wiper blades because due to the location of the arms on the 6th Gen Camry, the Accord blades cover more windshield.

Pros: cover more windshield

Anchor Engine mount
luvlove80
  • Vibration:
Rating 2.5

Anchor brand is kinda hit or miss, sold just about everywhere but never know if the quality control person was actually at work that day or not. For price difference and it being a lightweight Camry engine id go ahead and do it, if they last 5 years it's better than $700.

Pros: potentially long lasting (5 years)
Cons: inconsistent quality control
Vehicle: Toyota Camry

BRIDGESTONE Tires

They are garbo. I got 30k out of my turanzas before I had to get new ones. I went with the Michilin Cross Climate 2. Totally worth it.

Pros: Totally worth it
Cons: garbo, only 30k miles
Mileage: 30000 km
