Tires YOKOHAMA or Achilles

YOKOHAMA Tires

I run Yokohama advan sport v105s that run between 5-600 a tyre and they’re excellent. Softer rubber so they ware a bit quicker but it’s worth it for the grip… they’re an all year tyre too.

Pros: excellent, worth it grip
Cons: ware a bit quicker
Part number: V105S

Rating 5.0

I think the yomohamas are awesome. Got some for the stock size for my 2010 sport and its a smooth ride for sure, def cuts down road noise too imo and i came from some firestone tires.. Treadwear rating on those will also last you quite a while, just keep up to date with those tire rotations.

Pros: smooth ride, cuts road noise
Vehicle: Honda Fit

YOKOHAMA Tires

I had AD09’s on my GT4 when I had it and loved them. Not as much ultimate grip as some tires named in here but grip was great and you just couldn’t kill them, you could hammer them for 30 minute sessions and they wouldn’t fade, lasted a ton of track days

Pros: great grip, very durable
Cons: not ultimate grip
Vehicle: Porsche

Achilles Tires

Take it from someone who for the first 15 years of driving spent the big bucks on Conti DWS/Michelin Pilot's/Goodyear Assurances/ Pirelli P Zero's/Hankook Ventus etc. At least two dozen sets.

All a waste of money unless you are well off. I am by no means poor anymore but I started running the super generics about 8 years ago, Achilles Desert Hawk's, Gladiator XT's, Westlake's, Lexani's and now Lionhart's.

No they are not as good as the name brands, but every day driving you and 99% of people can't tell and you will naturally acclimate to whatever the limits are over time while saving 60-75% off buying name brand if you really take your time and shop around.

I've towed my 8000lb camper around the country, through the Rockies with some of these generics.

Pros: save 60-75% money
Cons: not as good as name brands

YOKOHAMA Tires

Not only do the sidewalls flex at highway speed when you do a lane change, they track all over the place and feel skittish. I had my front end (Prius V) checked out by a shop that I trust, and they drove it on the highway. They agree that there is an instability with this tire.

Cons: instability with this tire
Vehicle: Toyota Prius v
