Tires MICHELIN or Nokia

MICHELIN Tires

I switched out to Cross Climate 2s , from Connecticut up to Portland was probably  some of the worst snow I've ever had to drive in. They felt Incredible. I drive on the highway every day here and in thunderstorms it's nothing but confidence.

Pros: felt incredible

Nokia Tires

Rating 4.0

I've had the Nokian WRG models for the past 10 years and there's always been a song and dance with each model I tried. The WRG3 were excellent in the snow but the treadwear and dry performance was average (Enough for my driving needs, however). The WRG4 were slightly worse in the snow compared to the WRG4 (Still decent) but leaps better in dry performance and rain. The problem with the WRG4 was the susceptibility to dry rot and overall "wear" from normal driving. They have been punctured, misshapen, and suffered "premature" treadwear compared to what was advertised as the expected tread-life of the tire. But given how well they perform in my 4-season climate state, I would rate them highly. Tire noise is minimal, performance all around is outstanding, and minimal diminishing of performance through treadwear.

Pros: minimal tire noise, outstanding performance
Cons: susceptible to dry rot, premature wear

MICHELIN Tires

I got around 20k from my next set of Michelin pilot road 4's and have not run another tire since. Yes they're expensive, but their dollar per mile ratio is incredible and they have fantastic wet weather performance

Pros: fantastic wet weather performance, incredible dollar per mile
Cons: expensive
Mileage: 20000 km

MICHELIN Tires

My Winter set up includes Y rated tires, however they are not a Winter tire per Se. They are all season/ all-weather tires with the 3MPSF severe winter rating.

Pros: all season, severe winter rating
