Tires MICHELIN or NANKANG

MICHELIN Tires

I would go with Michelin Pilot A/S 4 if money isn’t a factor. They’re more expensive, but *excellent* all around tires.

Pros: excellent all around tires
Cons: more expensive

Michelin are a great choice, I would choose the CrossClimate2. I understand tires are expensive, but Michelin tires maintain their performance when they get worn, whereas other brands drop off significantly.

Pros: maintain performance when worn
Cons: tires are expensive

NANKANG Tires

So I got these nankang AR-1 and never run them before. They talk about a break in, a certain amount of heating, the off the car for a full day.

MICHELIN Tires

I have GMC 3500HD SRW with almost 50k on OEM Michelin tires. There's still pretty good tread on them.

Pros: pretty good tread
Mileage: 50000 km

Our '11 Yaris came with these in a T-rated 185/60-15 with 160 treadwear. They had some tread left but were super unsafe by 20k miles (no traction on wet roads and uncontrollable axle hopping wheelspin with light acceleration). Total throwaway trash tires: super loud, no grip, harsh riding.

Cons: super loud, no grip
Mileage: 32186 km
