Tires MICHELIN or Giti

MICHELIN Tires

I put these on all of my cars now, I also live in New England. I used to have dedicated snows, but now I run these year round. Amazing tires.

Pros: amazing tires, year-round use

Honestly the car drives even better than new after recently replacing the original Bridgestone turanza tires with Michelin cross climates. World of difference. Super happy.

Pros: World of difference
Mileage: 75000 km

Good ones, currently Michelins, on all 4 wheels. They cost about the same, last about as long, and handle almost as well as my good all-seasons. So I'm paying for mounting and balancing, and a small gas mileage hit.

Pros: good quality, last long, good handling
Cons: small gas mileage hit

We just put a set of these on our V90 CC a couple months ago, and so far I’ve been loving them. Very grippy in dry or wet conditions. Haven’t driven them in snow yet, but I live in upstate NY and will certainly get the chance soon enough. They are much softer ride and quieter than the Pirelli scorpions.

Pros: very grippy, softer ride, quieter
Vehicle: Volvo V90

I love these tires. The tread pattern is ugly and you can’t rotate them side to side but they will handle anything. Are cleared for mountain passes and even perform well through the limited spirited driving I do in my V60cc. When time comes to replace them it will be with another set of the same.

Pros: handle anything, good for mountain passes, perform well
Cons: ugly tread pattern, no side-to-side rotation
Vehicle: Volvo V60

I've had Crossclimates on my old M3P and my MY so wanted to put them on the new M3P. I still would have preferred A/S Crossclimates over two sets of wheels/tires that are Pirellis.

Pros: good prior experience, preferred A/S

Pros: klebte am Boden (on snow/ice)

Truly a shame that Michelins dry rot so quick because they ride great and are pretty good mileage wise. The general rule is replace tires every 5 years, but I see Michelins start dry rotting just 3 years after production. Really sucks for older people who don’t drive as much.

Pros: great ride, good mileage
Cons: quick dry rot, short lifespan

My old pilot sport 5s tires were downright dangerous even with light snow. Forget about ice entirely. They are too expensive and wear too quickly for the 1% of time they are truly useful.

Pros: good in rain, slush
Cons: expensive, wear too quickly
