I like firestone firehawk indy 500. summer tire. sticky. reminds me of the old yokohama S.Drive. Plenty of grip wet or dry, and in dry it's the only one that's let me put down full power coming out of a corner without going all spastic or lighting the traction control lamp.
I usually run Michelin X-Ice but I gotta say these VC7's are great.
Continental.
Put Firestone Destination AT2s on mine. Great tire and good meaty look. The positive is that fuel economy only went down by 2 to 24.7 from 26.7.
I have had the Winterforce ones for a couple years now. They seem to be good tires.
Loving the continental… so quiet!
My bro who works at dealer said Continentals are good for daily road driving and much less than Michelin.
I have the wstx on right now. Comparable to my old Continental Wintercontact SI at like half the price. The only thing is it's louder and a bit harsher on the road. Great snow performance though.
Maybe I just got lucky. I used to always get Michelin's, but my CC came with Conti (Pro Contact I think), so went for them again, and then picked another Conti that is a little sportier (not DWS06, just PureContact LS), and they have been OK. Steering feel hasn't been as good as with Michelin, but I did not experience any problems.
I have owned a lot of new cars over the years but the Continental tires on the Arteon are the worst. I have replaced 3 tires over 3 years due to bulging in the sidewall.
