Tires Continental or Firestone

Firestone Tires

I’ve only got a focus st but my firestone fire hawk indy500s have been really nice to me. Not 200tw so they’ll last longer but lots of grip and not terribly expensive

Pros: lots of grip, not expensive
Cons: not 200tw
Vehicle: Ford Focus

Continental Tires

Thanks for all the advice guys, went ahead and ordered the Continental ECS 02s, fingers crossed I’m happy with them. My biggest issue with my RS4s is that it takes about 2 runs on my favorite backroad to get enough heat in them to really stick and I don’t push my car on public roads like I used to. If I get the added benefit of making my car more daily-able that’s not a bad thing either.

Pros: more daily-able
Cons: takes time to heat

I typically get the Continental dws 606+ or whatever it's called. They ride and handle as well as the Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons.

Pros: ride and handle well

Firestone Tires

Firestone destination le3 is decent and cheap tire there, a lot of sizes. Is the tire amazing? Fuck no, but has great wet traction, low rolling resistance, and through the roof treadwear.

Pros: great wet traction, treadwear
Cons: not amazing

But having watched DWS regularly chunk badly under autox runs, i wouldn't expect much to be left of those tires at the end of the event. The compound is not designed to handle higher temps.

Cons: chunk badly, not designed for heat
