Tires Continental or DUNLOP

Continental Tires

I've got the Continental CrossContact RX's on mine and I've been very satisfied. 20,000 miles in 16 months with no issues. Amazingly quiet, I intend to replace with the exact same tire when the time comes.

Pros: amazingly quiet, no issues
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 20000 km

I just replaced the tires on my 2015 6 with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06s, and they are awesome. Quiet, good feel, a little less busy in the center (which makes them great for long miles on the freeway), and soooo much super confident grip.

Pros: quiet, good feel, confident grip
Cons: less busy in center
Vehicle: Mazda 6

I had to change tyres for my 5 series last month. I went with Dunlop (not runflat) and can feel a marked improvement in the ride quality over the run flats.

Pros: marked improvement, ride quality
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 10000 km

I've had both the DWS06 and now the AS4, I found the DWS06 a little quieter, felt like same performance in the dry, the AS4 is better in the rain (on my highways the DWS06 would hydroplane at 50mph) but slightly worse in the snow

Pros: better in the rain
Cons: worse in the snow

got 78,000 on oem Continentals. Tire vendor thought I could still push for another 10,000 miles… In South Florida on mostly smooth roads.

Pros: high mileage
Mileage: 78000 km

DUNLOP Tires

For summer, I am still using the stock Dunlop Enasaves. They are quiet and efficient generally, but make a lot of noise in the corners.

Pros: quiet, efficient
Cons: noisy in corners

DUNLOP Tires

Below 40F the tires get hard and lose grip. Add a little bit of snow and they are slick as fuck. The awd helps but the overall loss of traction makes driving sketch as fuck.

Pros: AWD helps
Cons: tires get hard, lose grip
