Tires BRIDGESTONE or Goodyear

BRIDGESTONE Tires

At 45 degrees and below a regular all season tire will start to harden and lose grip, even on bare pavement. If you live somewhere where it gets cold get the Blizzaks

Pros: good grip in cold
Cons: harden and lose grip

BRIDGESTONE Tires

They are fine. After we moved to Phoenix from Idaho I put them on every winter just to use them up and they lasted quite a few years - they still had lots of tread left when I got tired of storing them every year

Pros: lasted quite a few years

Goodyear Tires

Also if you can, get Goodyear assurance. We had them on my husband's old car and they were good. Very little road noise, compared to the cheap Kelly edges the dealership put on his Impreza before we bought it.

Pros: little road noise

Goodyear Tires

I just put Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates on my Miata, 205/45/17’s. So far, so good, also got the road hazard warranty due to the potholes around here.

Pros: so far, so good
Vehicle: Mazda

Since changing to the Goodyear tires, I've hit similar potholes, sometimes even much HARDER, and haven't had a single popped/torn tire (though HAVE had issues with air leaking, which they attributed to the 'tag/sticker' still being on the tire when installed).

Pros: no popped/torn tire
Cons: issues with air leaking

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I love me my Bridgestone Weatherpeaks all-weather tiresI live in Southern California near the beach where it doesn’t snow, but make frequent road trips during the winter to Mammoth and Big Bear where it can snow heavily at times. 70 degree weather to drive to the 20-30 degree mountains in snowy conditions and these handle like a beast.

Pros: handle like a beast

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Yep same thing happened to me, my OEM tires were shit. I had like 16k on mine. Normal driving, not aggressive or anything. Literally only lasted a year. Mine were Bridgestones.

Cons: tires were shit
Mileage: 16000 km
