Brake pads POWER STOP or Hella Pagid
I run Pagid yellows, and yeah, they love to squeal when they're cold. Cold, as in, like you said, not at track driving operating temperature. Occasional street driving is loud, but I don't concern myself with that.
Not only is the yellow pad performance better at the track, but they are Pagid's "endurance" pad, so, at least compared to stock, they last a good deal longer too. Performance and durability are easily worth a little noise to me.
I too have used powerstops with more than satisfactory results. Shorter stopping distances with less brake dust.
I've used powerstops and bosch on my xc60. Braking performance felt slightly improved from the OEM for both. The powerstops (Z23 model) are also significantly less dusty, while the bosch pads produced about the same amount of dust as the OEM.
Just to back up Copbait, I’ve used the Z23s on my vehicles as well. You can feel they reduce the braking distance and almost no dust as well.
1 week after new brakes and NO DUST!!
Note: I've been using Powerstop Z23 disk/pads on front/back for few years.
I put these on and man what a difference compared to OEM. Braking has much more bite than I thought.
Got the z23 kit for my 2011 R/T AWD. Night and day difference, these brakes bite hard when applied. Very much worth the purchase.
I have run power stop rotors and pads on my 2011 raptor for a few years they are much better than stock with little to no fade.
I went with Powerstop pads and centric rotors from Rock Auto and have been happy with the increase in bite and stopping power. I believe I purchased the hybrid ceramic/metallic pads.
