Here's what I did at 30k miles as the originals had faded badly StopTech slotted rotor with EBC redstuff pad - I'm certain you'll get a thousand recommendations on better stuff. Love, love, love these brakes. Very little dust.

But I will say the pads are great, they stop well, they never squeak...but man my iron-x budget is going fast.
Continuing to drive on them this way will not make the pad deposits go away. Trust me. I have the same ceramic pads on our 3 vehicles (golf r included). Centric posi quiets. They are great pads with great cold bite and minimal dust. But if you overheat them and stay on the brake pedal at a stop, like any other pad, it will embed pad material onto the rotor.
I did my rear brakes with them and have no complaints. Stops fine, no noise, little brake dust.
They were super friendly and helped me get the best brakes for my Suburban. They literally made the brakes specifically for me and I picked them up a few days later. Definitely a quality product, too.
I’ve always used Zimmerman rotors and Mintex pads, and have yet to find a better combo. I’ve tried Brembo, Stoptech, Bosch, but nothing has pleased me like Mintex [pedal feel, stopping power, no noise, very low dust [especially when used on drilled rotors]].
The anodized drilled/slotted rotors just got their 2nd pad change with Bosch quietcast ceramic pads. Zero noise, much less brake dust and last longer than the 2 years of the messy oe pads on our 3.7 ton Yukon.
I'm running Hawk Ceramic 5.0 brakes up front. They screech on the street but held up just fine on track.
I'd avoid the cheaper duralast stuff but the gold is usually OK.
I used Mintex red's on the 54's - once, a while ago - and I was not impressed.
