I’ve never regretted buying Michelin tires. Can’t say this about Yokohamas. I can’t say what feels better about Michelin tires, they just driving feel better.

Pros: driving feel better

My wife had Costco install the CC2 on our ‘20, which is her daily driver. They’ve been excellent in the Minnesota winter and quiet over their first 7500 miles. I was concerned about the traction before we got them, but they are good in the snow and ice.

Pros: good in snow, quiet
Mileage: 7500 km

I have been driving all sorts of cars for 30 years and I have NEVER met a tire that is as well behaved on dry, wet, and snowy roads. I was all in on that statement, but the Yokohama Geolander has made me rethink that.

It does everything I need it to do.

Dry - The tire is precise, predictable, and quiet. It feels like I could panic swerve and the tire would not turn to mush.

Wet - I have never felt the tire nearing departure.

Snow - Even at near end of life, at 6/32ths of an inch, it did really well.

Pros: precise, predictable, quiet
Mileage: 36000 km

I’ve got the Geolandars on mine. They are great in the rain and smooth on tarmac at highway speeds. Haven’t had my snow to test with.

Pros: great in rain, smooth
Cons: no snow test

I currently have Michelin Primacy 4 tires under my Mini Cooper 116hp, and they're very nice, although not that brilliant in wet weather.

Pros: very nice
Cons: not brilliant in wet

YOKOHAMA Tires

I got the Geolanders literally 48 hours ago - got back from my first adventure with them about 15 minutes ago, handled amazing in dirt, deep mud and snow - haven’t had them long enough to recommend them one way or another but no initial complaints

Pros: handled amazing in dirt
Cons: haven't had long enough

MICHELIN Tires

I got 22k miles out of the Michelins of which 5k were unsafe due to bad wet traction. I am 40k miles into the replacements and they are still going strong.

Pros: replacements going strong
Cons: bad wet traction
Mileage: 22000 km
