Tires MICHELIN or SUNNY

The previous owners kept the brakes flushed and the oil changed right on schedule. It had a water pump at replaced at 70k, spark plugs at 60k(getting time for that again), and the normal 80k service with the rear end inspected and new fluid. It has some Michelin Pilots with most of the tread left.

I like the Michelin defenders, pretty good in all elements and lasts about 70k.

Folks liked those Michelins very much, generally.

My pilot all season 4 tires have a 540 treadwear and I got about 20k on the rears.

I just swapped my original Conti's out for Michelin Pilot Sport AS4's (225/45ZR18). Ride is quieter than the Conti's, and grip seems better, too...but that may be due to new tires vs mileage on the old ones.

The CC2s are fantastic, I don’t think I actually lost much range with them more than I fitted them when it was colder. Snow, ice, rain they are amazing. Never had an issue with grip. Only reason I’ll go back to the sports is longevity at higher temps and deluging rain grip.

I have them and so far very happy with the purchase. I use them for every day driving there’s been no big impact on range or road noise.

Yes to range drop, also yes to great performance in the snow, ice, and rain. My typical drive takes 15% to get home now, where it used to take 12%. They are relatively new (2 months), so break in may alleviate some of that.

I've been over the pass in the Sierra Nevada twice with them on (both i-80 and hwy 50), plus routine winter driving with snow and ice pretty much daily. Only time I've felt any wiggle is goosing it through a corner when nobody is around, just to get a feel for the handling. It recovers very gracefully.

Currently I have Michelin CrossClimate but, in my opinion they are not as good as Defenders.

I have the Michelin on my mk6 Golf R. I absolutely HATE them. Noisy when new an produce a vibration/buzzing sound that is maddening at highway speeds. The wear is so/so, but they are getting noisier with wear. Never again.
