I really like the Michelin Wild AM 2 and Force AM 2 because they roll so much faster than Maxxis but still have great grip.
I had good luck with Falkens, and liked them - but for Teslas, I’ve gone back to Michelins. The OEM Goodyears were trash. Got almost 60K out of my first set of Michelins (RWD). Should be about the same for the second set (AWD).
Just replaced tires on my 2017 XC90 with Michelin Cross Climate 2 (235/55/19 115V) and LOVE THEM. By far the best tire I’ve had on it and beats the Pirelli and Continental options hands down.
The defenders are a very good choice. On road performance is no different than the defenders, they are just as quiet, but have a slightly more aggressive tread.
That said, I really have enjoyed the Michelin Cross Climate; amazing rain traction and very cushy. Only knock is that they are a little noisy in sweeping turns.
the ride is sooo much better than the stock tires. quiet and smooth.
I've been buying my tires at Costco for years. Prices couldn't be beat, especially when they have a sale. Got a set of Michelin CrossClimate 2s for a minimum 400 less than anywhere else.
I live in Colorado and last fall I got Michelin CrossClimate 2s for my VB. Great tires! They worked beautifully all winter with the snow that we had (along with several trips up to the slopes) and also worked great with all of the rain this spring/summer.
I've heard that those Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires wear out quickly but that's ridiculously quick
I drove Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the highway in subzero weather on icy roads which are ZR rated because someone stole my car before I had my winter tires mounted.
They hit the ditch in the car.
