Tires MICHELIN or Sailun

MICHELIN Tires

For instance on my pickup I run a Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 and it is way more then enough and can run all year (and get 85k miles on a set), but I do run a winter on my wife's car because her summer tire is just crap.

Pros: can run all year
Mileage: 85000 km

My current favorite is the Michelin CrossClimate2. I have this on 2 of 3 vehicles in my house. Handle great in not just winter weather, but also in rain.

Pros: Handle great in rain

For my hellcat the best are Michelin PS4 and nothing else. Superior tire and warranty. Costs a little bit upfront then warranty then every 15k miles at 50% off.

Pros: Superior tire, good warranty
Cons: Costs a little bit upfront
Vehicle: Dodge
Mileage: 15000 km

Sailun Tires

I personally ran the SW606 for over 10 years on 2 different vehicles. Solid budget tire. Never had any issues and lasted years.

Pros: solid budget tire, no issues, long lasting

I went with 16" Michelin Primacy 4 68db ones and road noise has reduced quite a bit. Plus if you're in the UK, your 16" rims will never touch the kerb!

Pros: reduced road noise, kerb protection
Vehicle: Mazda 3

On my lightning I’m at 50 Ibs, I know it’s higher than recommended psi, but I noticed tire wear was a problem on these chats. After I increased to 50psi, range increased 10% and tires look great at 34000 miles, half tread left, Michelin tires.

Pros: increased range, good tire wear
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 54718 km

  • Noise:
Rating 3.5

CC2 has better grip all around especially in snow, it just might be more noisy and not last as long.

Pros: better grip, good in snow
Cons: more noisy, shorter lifespan

My old pilot sport 5s tires were downright dangerous even with light snow. Forget about ice entirely. They are too expensive and wear too quickly for the 1% of time they are truly useful.

Pros: good in rain, slush
Cons: expensive, wear too quickly
