I have had a few cars with continental extreme contacts and loved them. I have a 23 Mach 1 that came with Pilot 4S tires, they are simply amazing. They grip the road like glue and there is zero chatter when cornering hard. I would definitely go with the 4S.

Pros: grip the road like glue
Cons: zero chatter

I put Michelin cross climate 2’s on. Love them. Great grip in all seasons. I also don’t hydroplane anymore. And they have a high mile warranty.

Pros: Great grip, high mile warranty
Cons: pricy
Vehicle: Ford

Back when I was in college (2001) there was a guy in my class who tested tires in a lab. This was around the time Ford SUV's would flip over, thanks Firestone. He said he would test tires at high speed, different weighs, and tire pressures to test longevity. I asked him which tires were best. He said he couldn't tell me because of confidentiality laws. I asked him which tires he puts on his wife's minivan, and he said he would *only* put Michelin tires on his wife's car.

Pros: only Michelin tires
Vehicle: Ford

Always been a bi Michelin fan - never been done wrong with them. They cost a little more, but the ride and quiet are worth it to me. My X5 is right at the 70,000 mile mark with the set of Defender LTX I have on it, and I'd imagine another set is going on right behind them.

Pros: ride and quiet
Cons: cost a little more
Vehicle: BMW X5
Mileage: 70000 km

So I had Michelin Xclimates front and rear. After 31,000 miles, I unfortunately got a puncture in my front right after hitting a ratchet strap :(

At the time (5 years ago) £125 a tyre was definitely worth it for ~31,000 miles.

I changed the fronts with a set of Xclimate 2s. They’re expensive yeah… but they work.

Pros: worth it for miles
Cons: expensive
Mileage: 31000 km

Absolutely worth it. Mine feels so much better in wet weather, and it barely affected the fuel economy over the eco-tyres I had before.

Pros: better in wet weather
Cons: price rises

I have the Michelin MXM4 my 2022 Model 3. I have about 25,000 miles on the tires and I am told I will need to replace them in a few thousand miles.

Cons: short lifespan
Mileage: 40233 km

I just bought these for my GTI... I am a Michelin fanboy but not impressed with these tires. My MPSS are buttery smooth and quiet. These tires are very noisy, and ride a bit rougher. I've got them 225/40/r18 mounted on stock Austins (so its not the wheels) and i've had them rebalanced twice so its not a balancing issue.

Cons: very noisy, ride rougher
Vehicle: Volkswagen
