My wife has over 50k miles on a set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires on her Impreza and they still have a good amount of tread on them.
I put new tires on it at 27,000 miles. Michelin all weather and they have worn no different from front to back, side to side. I keep up with rotation and haven’t had any odd wear.
I usually give Nokians the edge, but Michelin X Ice purchased and installed at Costco is probably the easiest overall ownership experience, especially if you have to warranty anything.
We have Michelin X ice, love them.
Seem to have good tread wear and performance
I put a set of Michelin WeatherGuards on our Smart AWD SUV before last winter. The car drove great down steep icy hills when the roads were closed down.
I personally have a set of the x ice snow and cannot complain. I also like how long lasting they are. They are one of the only winter tires with a tread wear warranty (60,000km).
I use the Michelin Ice-X not a single problem, they are very quiet
We get snow here (and it’s a bit hilly) so I went with the Michelin CrossClimate 2’s. They’ve been great for two seasons so far. My only gripe is how light the steering feels, but the car is still a joy to drive.
I bought these for my Lexus replacing latitudes, went to Lexus got an alignment, put it on the road to Tennessee probably 4-500 ish miles one way. They were pretty grippy on the back roads, but highway driving was just to loud for me. So I took them back within the 1000 mile guarantee, when I got back from Tennessee and got a new set of latitudes. They are good tires for sure but they are also directional tires so that's where you get the bit of road noise. But they do have hella grip.
The rears have Michelin pilot supersports on them and theyre terrible.
