Tires MICHELIN or Nokia

MICHELIN Tires

I usually give Nokians the edge, but Michelin X Ice purchased and installed at Costco is probably the easiest overall ownership experience, especially if you have to warranty anything.

Pros: easy ownership experience

Nokia Tires

Nokian Hakkapeliitta is your best answer. These tires run toe to toe with everything else available on snow and ice acceleration and handling and beat everything else on stopping ability on snow and ice.

Pros: excellent snow, ice handling

I put a set of Michelin WeatherGuards on our Smart AWD SUV before last winter. The car drove great down steep icy hills when the roads were closed down.

Pros: drove great on ice
Vehicle: Smart

I have the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons on my 22s. They work ok, also a bit noisier. Not 100% in the snow, but get the job done.

Pros: acceptable performance
Cons: a bit noisy, not great in snow
Vehicle: BMW

Tires are low quality , made in Russia where no natural rubber found to make. Drove 1 day after replacement on unpaved rd . Tires are bubbled. Had to replace
