If you drive much to snowy areas, Michelin Crossclimate2 is the way to go. They are the best in snow short of dedicated snow tires. They are somewhat quieter than the OEM and the Continental Crosscontact tires I had before.
Na jednom autu imam Dunlop Winter Sport 5. I jedne i druge su mi se pokazale super do sada
Just got Michelin Defenders for 800 installed and the difference from the OEM Primacy tires is huge. Much quieter.
Michelin Alpin PA4 here
I have driven my previous car on the CC2, and I couldn't recommend them enough. The weather conditions we get here are exactly like yours, with the roads mostly pretty bad, and I never had any issues. Durable tires, driven on them for about 3 years, and covered around 30k km on them, and had plenty of thread left (sorry, don't know exactly how much). The guy that bought the car from me is still using them. Great in dry and rain, and very confident in snow. Quiet too.
I have CC2 and they are exceptional pretty much in all conditions. They struggle in hot weather, especially braking and they sometimes spin.
From my own experience the CrossClimate 2 is amazing. I bought them this spring, so I haven’t had the chance to see them perform in winter but I’m really confident with them. I’ve driven them a lot in 35+ Celsius on highways and saw no damage or excessive wear at all. They’re outstanding in the snow but give up some wet performance but I still loved them in the rain.
I ran them for a decade on my old M135i. They’re great tyres, if a little compromised compared to the newer generation. They’re not great in the wet or cold, and the performance does start to drop off before you get to the legal tread depth minimum.
It’s definitely the crap tires. Same on my ‘25 Rogue. Bought with my 3 miles of test drive on 1/3/25… now at 18k hwy miles the tread wear indicators are showing. I think they will need replaced at 20k.
In contrast - 2 of them were slashed at 1k miles. I replaced those two with Goodyear MaxLife. 17k miles later, the Dunlops are almost gone, the Goodyears show little to no wear whatsoever.
Dunlop Grandtek PT21’s are TOTAL CRAP.
