MICHELIN Tires

I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus tires and found them to be far better than the tires that came from the factory.

I’ve got a 2013 Ford Taurus limited, and I’ve got the crossclimate 2’s on her. Beat tires I’ve ever had. They’re a little expensive, but they’re well worth it. They’re designed to push snow and rain away from your vehicle. Stoping power even in the snow is great.

Pros: stopping power is great
Cons: a little expensive
Vehicle: Ford Taurus

I got myself the Grantrek AT5s. For me they have a good compromise between traction offroad and road noise on tarmac. I also fitted a full spare with one of those AT5s on it. Fits perfectly where the 3/4 sits.

Pros: good compromise, traction offroad
Cons: road noise on tarmac

I just traded in those Accords this month for '22 Sport 2.0T's that came stock with Michelin Primacy MXM4. Night and day difference on the road noise and it absolutely gives it a more comfortable ride.

Pros: more comfortable ride
Cons: road noise

I feel like a broken record with this one, but I highly recommend the Michelin PS4S or PS4AS. They made my accord feel a whole lot more connected to the road, and the All Seasons handle Wisconsin winters just fine.

Pros: connected to the road

If you can afford it, Michelin is worth it in the long run. They’re the only tire I know that lasts longer than the warranty period based on Consumer Reports.

Pros: lasts longer, worth it

We had a set of these on our Rogue, and I wasn\u2019t really blown away by them. Tread life was awful, which really surprised me. Granted, wet grip was very good and they rode quietly, but I wasn\u2019t that impressed with them overall.

Pros: wet grip very good
Cons: awful tread life
Vehicle: Nissan

As someone who cheated out on tires and ended up losing traction going around a curve in the rain, fishtailing to the other side of the road and getting t-boned by a vehicle twice the size of mine, I’ve made it a rule to never cheap out on tires again. Michelin is one of the better brands out there IMO.

Cons: losing traction in rain
