Tires MICHELIN or Cooper

MICHELIN Tires

The Michelin Road 5 and Road 6 have a "GT" version with an extra ply for heavier bikes. I have Road 5 GTs on my RT and Road 6 on another bike and they're pretty great.

Pros: pretty great

Cooper Tires

I run these on my 2010 jcw (Cooper Zeon RS3-G1™ ) and really like them. Live in Canada and they were much better than I expected in winter. Didn’t even put on my winter tires.

Pros: better than expected in winter

Good move! I’ve got 4 of those baby’s waiting for the new Clubman to arrive. Great tires. Noise reduces after a 1000 or so. Fantastic any time of year but especially in snow and rain.

Pros: fantastic in snow and rain
Cons: noise reduces after 1000
Vehicle: MINI
Mileage: 1000 km

Decided to remove the Run Flat tires and upgraded to Michelin Crossclimate 2 tires. Immediately I could tell how much better the car drives. Smoother and quieter. Really looking forward to winter.

Pros: smoother and quieter ride
Vehicle: MINI

Got a set on my Honda Clarity not long ago, this is my first set of CrossClimate 2 tires on an electric vehicle. I got these because I was so happy with them on my Camry.

They are fantastic in the rain. I've never had a tire so resistant to hydroplaning.

But I want to warn everyone interested that these tires are very noisy in the low frequency range of about 60-160 Hz.

Pros: fantastic in the rain
Cons: very noisy
Vehicle: Honda

MICHELIN Tires

I put the CrossClimate2's on my 2015 Jetta TDI. 4% loss in fuel economy. Not only that but the car lost it's precise on center feel and required much more correction to keep in straight. Feels like driving on underinflated snow tires. I hate them and will replace them with the OEM Bridgestone Ecopias.

Cons: loss in fuel economy, lost precise feel
