Tires MICHELIN or Continental

MICHELIN Tires

Been driving in Canadian winters with X-Ice\u2019s for the past 3 winters and have never had any issues. Always feel safe on the road with them, and I\u2019ve had to drive through blizzards several times.

Pros: feel safe on road

I bought a set of the Viking 8s this season, I've had them on for about a month now. Over the years I've had Yokohama IceGuards, Blizzak WS90s, Uniroyal Tiger Paw Ice and Snow, Firestone WinterForce and the X Ice Snow. The Conti's have been the best of all. Very very quiet, comparable to an all season, sure footed in a blizzard, did well in heavy ice fog and very good in the wet.

Pros: very quiet, sure footed

Recommendation:\n- Michelin Cross Climate 2 with padding. I get them from Discount Tires, I buy their insurance. What you pay upfront is what you get in back end. I have had a few total replacements with no cost.

Pros: safe, over 35k miles usage
Cons: expensive

I found Michelin Road 5s to keep their excellent feel in the wet and the cold. I commuted in under 10 degrees F and through snowstorms on them several times. Obviously slowed way down in the snow, but the tires kept telling me they had more grip if I wanted it.

Pros: excellent feel in wet

MICHELIN Tires

Very decent snow tires despite not being all-out winters. AMAZING in the rain. Aquaplane resistance is second to none, great straight line grip, pretty good in the corners. My current set is down to about 5/16 and is losing grip like crazy, but that is expected. It took 70k miles to get down to 5/16, by the way.

Pros: AMAZING in the rain
Cons: losing grip
Mileage: 112654 km

I've had them on an avalanche since they came out. Its my putt around town 2nd vehicle they have been fine few highway trips ive needed them. If driving from valley to anch for work id suggest a winter tire but putting around town should be fine

Pros: fine for town driving, fine for highway trips
Cons: not ideal for work driving
Vehicle: Chevrolet Avalanche

I went with cross climate 2s, but the performance has been really disappointing in wet conditions at low speeds, i lose traction often.

Cons: disappointing wet performance, loses traction
