Tires Firestone or Nokia

I have Hakka R5's on my S5 and doubt I'll be going back to anything else. They've handled winter here in Alberta very well so far.

I can also vouch for Toyo Observes, used those before switching and I had no complaints.

Studless are what's up. Nokian studless hakkapalitas are the best snow tires I've ever owned.

I have Firestone Destination LE2s, and I haven't had much trouble driving in the snow with them. To be fair I haven't ever had snow tires, so I don't have much to compare to. If you have experience driving in the snow already, and drive slow you should be fine.

I previously had the OEM, Pirelli Scorpion tires which I liked. The Firestone Destination LE3 tires seems to be equivalent to them..

I have Blizzaks ws80s on my Focus ST, and hakkas on my wife's Edge. When the Blizzaks are done, Hakkas are going on.

My previous car was a Legacy wagon on studless Hakkas . Driving in crappy Alberta winters was a complete non-event.

I run Nokian winter tires on my vehicles. They've been nothing short of spectacular through more than a decade of driving the Northern Rockies in winter. This is excellent news!

I like studded snow tires and have had some nokian tires for a while and like them alot, enough to get a set on our subaru as well.

I have Nokian WRG4 on my Chevy Cruze , and just bought some Michelin Crossclimate 2 for my other Cruze. I'll know in a couple months how well I like them both. I love the WRG4 so far but have only a tiny amount of experience with them in the snow.

Blizzak’s are very common and the general consensus is that they’re great.

An alternative you may wanna look into are the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3’s. They’re a little less common, but rated very highly and perform amazingly for the price (which is very affordable)

I went with Nokian One to replace my stock Nexens, I regret it. There is less wheel spin (still some if I put it in sport and floor it) but the efficiency seems to have taken a small hit and they’re so loud.
