Tires Falken or Continental

I’d stick with tried and true. Falken

personally I skipped going for the Hakkapeliittas this time and went with Continental IceContact XTRM Studded, So far they have been great! but damn are they loud on dry pavement lol.

FWIW - I dropped my stock 17” wheels down to 16” Sparco Terra wheels and run Falken Wildpeak Trail tires. Awesome year round and we get a lot of snow in New England.

Continental 175/70 r13 tires imported from Italy in July 2020 (at substantial expense \ud83e\udd23) to wrap this set of 82 Jetta wheels for my resto-mod. Finally got them painted to my satisfaction in reflex silver. Searched all of US and Canada for Continental 175/70s with no luck.

They are 255/60/19 flalken wildpeak AT. They ride great make no noise as well. The only downside is the weight the difference in brake feel is night and day.

i just got a set of continentals in june and i am in love. prior to this, i had dunlops (original set) and i think yokohama after that. i hated them both. slid in the rain all the time. came here for a recommendation and saw lots of praise for the contis. so glad i found them.

New tires for the touareg pretty happy with how they look. Although the brakes are much stiffer from the additional weight.

As the final installment in the decade-old 615 line, this tire blends a nice mix of dry and wet performance, with solid wear characteristics. A little loud on the street, but it’s right at home delivering lots of track laps or autocross runs.

I have had the DWS 06 on my R for almost a year. Drove through Reno’s ridiculous amount of snow last year. They’re a good tire in fluffy snow and got me around no problem. When it gets more hard packed they struggle, but they’re an all season tire and I didn’t expect much there.

Definitely know the falken tires would do bad In snow even with AWD.
