Tires Continental or Uniroyal

Uniroyal Tires

Uniroyal has never let me down. Plus, it's the only brand that you can still get whitewalls from without specially ordering them, so, bonus

Pros: never let me down

Personally, I’d spend the extra money and get Continental tires because they make good shit. I run them on both cars, specifically the DWS06+. If it can handle my 500+ hp car, it can handle whatever you’re putting them on.

Pros: good quality, handles high hp

For anyone finding this thread I've gotten some decent miles on the Kryptotal now on a variety of trails and am loving it. I'm riding Kryptotal FR Enduro Soft front and Xynotal Enduro Soft rear and can't believe the difference from the T9 Butcher that I still had on the front. Faster, grippier, and I have way more confidence they're going to stick.

Pros: faster, grippier, more confidence

You’ll notice a difference. On a gentle downhill with me running the previous GP4000, I’ve coasted past my boss who was on Gatorskins and pedaling. The 5000 has perceptibly better rolling resistance than the 4000.

Pros: better rolling resistance
Cons: difficult to mount

Continental Viking Contact 7 on VW wheels. They are great snow tires, quiet on dry roads but very effective on ice and snow.

Pros: quiet on dry roads, effective on ice and snow
Vehicle: Volkswagen

For the Pacific NW USA, where it rains a lot, I keep coming back to Continental CrossContacts. Tire Rack ranked them highly for rain (my #1 priority) and very high just about every other category.

Pros: highly ranked for rain

Last tires I got bought were Conti Extreme Contacts which I’m impressed with and are known as some of the best on the market. Probably not as quiet as the Michelin primacy I have on another vehicle but performance feels not quite as good in bad conditions as the Contis

Pros: good performance
Cons: not quiet, bad conditions

Switched from Continental Der Baron 2.6" to Dhf/Dhr (3c maxxterra) 2.8" combo. DHR has less grip on uphill and roots, which is really annoying after expecting something great, because everyone loves these tyres...

Cons: less grip on uphill
