Tires Continental or OEM Toyota

Continental Tires

Conti tires are great on cars. I always get their all-season Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ for my suv's because they are rated like a 10 on rain and even an 8 in the snow, which is amazing for an all season that's not dedicated to snow. Plus they have a 70k mile warranty.

Pros: great on cars, amazing in rain/snow
Mileage: 70000 km

Continental Tires

I got 32k miles out of my OEM Continentals - I could have pushed them for another 5K miles (I’m in the desert so no snow and limited rain). That’s good enough for me, so I got another set about a week ago.

Pros: good mileage
Mileage: 51500 km

Bought a 2022 Sienna XLE AWD brand new April 2023. Hit a deer that night. Did $28k in damage, all covered by insurance minus deductible. Currently sitting at 60,000 miles Maintenance done: serviced everything 5000 miles and new tires at 33k miles. No unexpected repairs

Pros: no unexpected repairs
Mileage: 96560 km

Continental Tires

I have carbon wheels and ride very rocky trails 6-8 hours/week. I use Kryptotal Fr and Kryptotal Re, both in enduro soft, and I don't use inserts. They are great tires. Excellent grip, fast rolling.

Pros: excellent grip, fast rolling

Continental Tires

I have them, I have a couple hundred miles on them and no issues. My experience however, keep them on pavement, I tried going over some light gravel to take a break and they slipped quite a bit.

Pros: no issues on pavement
Cons: slipped on gravel
Mileage: 322 km

Continental Tires

Same thing happened to me with conti gp5000 after around a year. I replaced, but will move on to different brand and tire if it happens again in such a short period of time

Cons: happened after around a year
