Recently replaced factory Goodyear with 20” Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS for about $1200. 3500 miles and they are great with minimal wear. Quiet with great wet and dry handling. 2021 MYLR.

Pros: quiet, great handling
Cons: minimal wear
Mileage: 5632 km

I had ExtremeContacts on my golf and loved them except they didn’t last as long as I expected. Then I got Pilot Sport 4s since they were on sale at the same price as the contis. they’re a bit louder but a bit grippier.

Pros: grippier, good price
Cons: didn’t last long, louder

I had a friend with Blizzacks on his WRX, and I put the equivalent Continental WinterContacts on my WRX. Mine wore less over time and I commuted more, were slightly cheaper at the time, and felt like they performed a little better.

Pros: performed a little better
Cons: wore less over time

I recommend Continentals. High quality tires, in general high lifespans and good grip. Good ride quality and low noise.

Pros: high quality, good grip
Cons: low noise

I have Maxxis Razors Mt on my truck. Great in the snow, mud, and quiet, no drone on the hi-way.

Pros: great in snow, mud
Cons: no drone

Last tires I got bought were Conti Extreme Contacts which I’m impressed with and are known as some of the best on the market. Probably not as quiet as the Michelin primacy I have on another vehicle but performance feels not quite as good in bad conditions as the Contis

Pros: good performance
Cons: not quiet, bad conditions

Continental Tires

Hit a pothole on the right side and replaced those with another brand (different from the stock Continentals, moved the Continentals to the front... and anything above 35 MPH the traction control light would flash. Anything above 55, I could very distinctly feel the car sliding all over the lane. It was very unsettling. I went back, returned the new ones, and bought the stock Continentals.

Cons: car sliding all over
