Continental ECF. They're 200's but more endurance focused. Not a fast tire but can stay consistent through a whole HPDE session. Really good performance in the rain, somehow they move a bunch of water. Long lasting as well... many heat cycles.
Too bad you don't have 16s, then you could buy the Continental DWSs(205/50/16s on mine) for the ultimate upgrade in rainy day tire. I spent 45 minutes on Saturday chucking my car actively trying to get it to slip and slide in the rain on mountain road bends and it just wouldn't let go.
I replaced the Dunlops with a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02s with a bit higher treadwear rating, so hopefully they last much longer with the alignment being fixed.
I have no problem recommending Kleber, especially when it is significantly cheaper in some sizes.
Off topic but my g35 has front tires from continental dsw06+ they are pretty god damn good.
I’ve ran both the Continentals and Yokohamas. General is owned by continental and make mid tier tires(continental would high tier in this case)
For your tire size, I’d take continental. The DWS06 is an amazing tire and well worth the price. Ran it on my 2017 Focus ST all winter long in the Portland area and they handled great!
Currently have them on my 2006 Acura TSX in south Cali and same thing. Good ride comfort, handling, and grippy around the corners.
Tire upgrade is the single best purchase you can make for this car. Continental DWS 06 tires truly transformed the driving experience.
got the Continental DWS06plus, so far they’ve been exceptional in the wet weather. Also, quieter than the uniroyal tiger paws.
I just bought these for my Y - time will tell. The continentals that were on here and didn’t wear so well. They were shot…. Hopefully I get a little more mileage out of these
Everything negative said about the TX is true. They're shockingly bad and unworthy of the Continental brand. I upgraded to DWS06+; these are probably the best or second-best Conti-branded tire available in this market (USA+CDN).
