Tires Continental or Cooper

Cooper Tires

The Cooper Zeon are significantly better, especially in the rain. I don't generally *try* to roast my tires, but there's been many situations where these Zeon tires have held grip where the Extensa would undoubtedly let loose.

Pros: better, especially in rain

Of all the big name brands I've had, by far the most comfortable were Continentals (sport or premium contact) nothing came close for pure comfort. I don't get them often because they wear very fast but pure comfort and grip they are outstanding. Thier sport contact line is amazingly comfortable considering they are a performance tyre

Pros: pure comfort and grip
Cons: wear very fast

Continental Tires

I think the OP made a great decision in getting some Continental DWS 06 tires vs. using those summer tires. I have used Conti DWS 06 tires in Winter while living in Colorado, Maine, Mississippi and now Germany. For places like Colorado and Maine, I'd recommend the Conti DWS 06 as a 3-season tire and then using a dedicated Winter tire. For Mississippi, the Conti DWS 06 is all you will ever need even for the most severe MS Winter. For Germany the Conti DWS 06 is doing a great job, for the severe winter days that are quite seldom, I have my Atlas with 4Motion and All-Weather tires.

Pros: great job, good winter
Cons: dedicated winter needed
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Honestly, I was surprised how refined in terms of NVH the Continental Sport Contact 7 is. I've got them in 235/35 R19 and comfort-wise I wasn't expecting anything to be honest, but it was a nice surprise!

Pros: refined NVH, comfortable

I had this same model on my prior VAG vehicle (in 245/40R19) and pretty typical for OEM tires: smooth ride, reasonably quiet, handles ok (both dry & wet), and can cope with an early- or late-season light snow when you're caught unexpectedly w/o your winter or all-weather tires.

Pros: smooth ride, reasonably quiet
Cons: handles ok

I would not buy Conti Pure contact LS again, they long lasting, grip and performance looks good but they are too harsh for me ( 225/50/17 has 98V load index)

Pros: long lasting, good grip
Cons: too harsh
