I have Bosch Icons on my car that are a year and a half old and still work like new. I park outside as well.

Bosch and Rain X have done well by me.

I went aftermarket with centric posi-quiet pads or Bosch quiet cast. Won’t ever go back to factory.

I switched to Bosch on all our vehicles, every month I will clean the blades with silicone and clay bar the windshield. The oldest pair is almost 4 years old and they still perform great.

I replaced front rotors and pads on two vehicles using Bosch QuietCast Premium parts I bought on Amazon. I have been very happy with the results.

I used Bosch plugs in mine about 3 months ago and I couldn't be happier.

For using an electric water pump: (Granted this thread isn't just for 1.8ts) if using the A) 058 1.8t, uses an external v-belt/serp belt waterpump, for ~$60 you could get this 12v pump and be golden

A few month after the gdi cleaner I started to get a couple misfire on cylinder 1 during startup. It was not bad enough to really noticed but would though an engine code then go away every other week. After some troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that is was probably my fuel injectors.

FWIW I bought an oreilly\u2019s remanufactured for my e34 a few years ago. It failed and was replaced twice in two years until I just bought the Bosch from FCP. No issues since.

Replaced them with another pairs of Bosch Endurance, still have the line and it's seems like the rubber is slapping my windshield and make a very annoying noise
