Spark plug NGK or AC DELCO
I run a cooler NGK plug in my boost increased and tuned ZR1 making 730 horsepower. They have been flawless and lead the market in the LS world also.
Today I ordered from VW TPS : - Quantum 5w 40 FS Oil & Filter - Oil Dipstick Tube - Fuel Filter - Pollen Filter - Brake Booster Pipe (Vacuum) (Pictured Below) - Interior Alarm Sensor Switch Have also ordered NGK Iridium plugs from Awesome GTI
As for the plugs, I bought [these NGK plugs]
NGK spark plugs are fine.
Been running NGKs in Sportsters forever with no issues. Good plug.
i run BKR7E at stock gap on stage 2 30psi. no problems at all even in 100 degree heat.
I would strongly recommend using NGK PZFR5J-11 spark plugs. These NGK Laser Platinum plugs are the best option for your 2.5l. Not only are they pre-gapped and ready for installation, but they'll perform great and provide dependable service for several years.
I've only ever used NGK plugs in my girlfriends old 2.5 and my current 2.5 (both cars have a total of 150k miles between them) and have never had a problem. They have also never needed to be gapped. Just take em out of the box and install them.
I have replaced the four spark plugs with properly gapped VW (NGK) plugs and still the #2 misfires cold and randomly thereafter. The original ones looked quite normal actually - chocolaty brown. Very little wear and a .032" gap.
I changed them over to the NGK bkr7eix #2667 and was wondering if spark plugs would have any effect on boost? It seems like the car isn't boosting as it should, I have a boost gauge and it also seems the PSI is a couple LBs lower than before the spark plug change. I have not experienced any misfires (that I can tell) and no CEL it's just the boost doesn't seem as high.
