Spark plug NGK or AC DELCO
I just put in regular AC Delco plugs and it runs great.
I been using ngk BR6HS plugs for years.
Fresh AC Delco copper core plugs are all you need. Start with the stock replacements and go from there.
I just swapped out an original set from 2006 that had exactly 165,050 on them. Car still ran great before the swap.
Spark plugs I put in it 15k miles ago were NGK 7968 Laser Platinum
I'm guessing they have been in there for 175k? NGK for the win.
I decided to try out NGK Ruthenium, and it runs just as good if not better. Ruthenium is much newer technology and is supposed to be able to ignite a larger range of AFR's leading to better throttle response compared to good old iridium.
I have a had a couple of NGK spark plugs with very fragile ceramic insulators over the last few years. I suspect like everybody else they are cutting on QC due to that inflation that officially doesn't exist, especially for made in Japan products.
Bought a set of iridium plugs that were wasted after 15k miles. Amazon gave zero fucks. AC Delco gave zero fucks. The scum bags who sold them changed their name and keep selling.
Get those plugs out! I bought counterfeit NGK plugs from Amazon. By the time you get a misfire the ceramic may have cracked off around electrodes and damage your engine.
