AC Delco OEM filter is all I have used on my GM trucks in a long time.
I also use an ACDelco filter (blasphemy, I know).
Last weekend I did DSG fluid and filter, LiquiMoly oil flush and oil change, and tire rotation on my B6 Passat.
I’ve always used 5w40 liquimoly with either a k&n or Mann filter.
I bought my oil online, liqui moly 5w30 at $113 and had it changed at jiffy lube for $25. 2013 535i.
$113 including a Fram oil filter.
Absolutely not. Example, I was an equipment manager at a Petroleum tank company. On our generator I tried to use several different manufacturers and the all blew the seals out because of filter material and pressure valves they used. I ended up buying OEM filters and never had a problem after that.
Liqui moly ....run engine get hot pour in a can of ligui moly let run 10 mins drain oil replace filter and oil run vehicle 2500 miles repeat process
AC Delco oil filters are now all made in China (but they won't confirm nor deny this), so they have a single package for all markets they serve.
I got an ACdelco oil filter for a 07 classic GMC duramax and right before installing it I noticed the threads were stripped off and there were big chunks metal shavings clipped off inside it.
the local gm dealer here uses the cheap delco filters and they always make my oil pressure drop 10psi
