Get the afm tuned out. And use ONLY full synthetic oil and a ac Delco filter. Mine has 232,000 and has been super reliable and still runs like new
7 Qts. Mobil-1 5W-30 Standard Full Synthetic, 500 mL bottle Rislone Engine Treatment, ACDelco PF61E. That's what I've used for all of my oil changes I've done on my 2008 and I've had absolutely no problems.
OEM AC Delco
$65-75 for 5 quarts of liqui moly and a filter. I do oil changes myself cause they are too easy not to and I don\u2019t trust anyone.
Been using just regular t4 Rotella and AC Delco filters on all of my diesels since 2011. No complaints
I'd only mix in half a quart each OCI, just to keep the oil pump happy. Nonetheless, it'll be fine. My '08 3.3L Chrysler takes 5w20 & I always replace a quart with 5w30 or 0w20, depending on the season. My '06 3.8L Buick takes 5w30, I typically replace a quart with 10w30 since I live in the desert. Doing so, in combination with only using Purolator & ACDELCO (personal preference) filters & changing them every 3k as recommended, keep my engines happy with their age
Liquimoly is more expensive, sure, but that’s what I buy. Comes in a nice little kit with a filter and I know I don’t have anything to worry about.
Switched between fram and ac delco. Sticking to ac delco due to a tsb. Oil pressure issues.
Ac delco/delphi quality has been getting really bad. There’s a cheaper line of products that are all Chinese and then a higher level. I stopped using their oil filters when the threads were completely off for my 3800.
I changed the oil with an AC Delco PF66 filter. Turned on the car and it instantly started spewing oil. Immediately turned it off. Oil sprayed through the cracks in front grill/bumper panel on passenger side.
