Can't beat the 2.5 for hassle free reliability. Economy sucks, though. I have had my 130k mile 2.5 Rabbit since new and I have never averaged more than 25-26mpg in mixed driving, but on the other hand I haven't done much more than oil changes and spark plugs on it.

Pros: hassle free reliability
Cons: economy sucks
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 209215 km

AC DELCO Spark plug

While I had the coils out, I replaced the plugs (used ACDelco double platinum professional grade, proper gap. No NGKs were available). After I replaced the coils, the misfire code(s) went away for a few days.

Pros: misfire codes went away
Cons: misfire codes returned
Mileage: 40000 km

Look out for tensioner. Somewhat large maintenance at 40k intervals. (DSG fluid and filter, haldex fluid). Oil changes every 5-10k. Spark plugs every 40k a good ideal imo as well.

Pros: Spark plugs good ideal
Cons: large maintenance
Mileage: 40000 km

So I went to my uncle who is a part owner of a auto parts supply company and he ordered me 5 Beck Arnley 178-8445 Direct Ignition Coils for my car and 5 ACDelco 41-806 Professional Platinum Spark plugs.

Cons: spark plugs were cheap

I have a 1986 blazer and replaced the spark plugs with ac delco factory spark plugs purchased from napa, about 2 months later I was driving the vehicle and the vehicle had a miss then starting blowing out oil from the Pcv vlave from excessively high crank case pressure after electrode fell out.

Pros: factory spark plugs
Cons: electrode fell out
Vehicle: Chevrolet Blazer

AC DELCO Spark plug

Put them into a stock '87 Subarban and tore my hair out thinking I messed up the wires 'cause it idled so bad. Really, like I had two wires switched. Put the old worn regular AC's that I just took out and it idled perfect.

Cons: bad idle, rough running
Vehicle: Chevrolet Suburban
