Battery OEM Mazda or AC DELCO

AC DELCO Battery

Currently I have ac delco batteries in every car I own. I work at a Cadillac dealership though so I get good prices on them and they're good batteries.

Pros: good batteries, good prices

The old battery I had in mine was an AC Delco, model ACD41-60 (I'm guessing size 41, 60-month warranty). Sticker said 685 CCA, 330 for charge. It's raining outside right now and I don't have any pictures of the sticker for my current one. The Delco battery finally died after being 8 years old. It showed signs of aging and being weak for about 3 months before that, and then one of the cells shorted out, so it had about a 5-amp capacity.

Pros: long life, high CCA
Cons: showed signs of aging
Part number: ACD41-60

In our shop we have found that the professional line of AC-Delco batteries seem to last the longest. I believe if you check the AC-Delco was what was installed at the factory in your Suzuki, and that lasted 7 years.

Pros: long lasting, reliable
Vehicle: Suzuki XL7

Man do yourself a favour and get either amaron or solite. Both lasted me almost 3 years. You're lucky that AC delco lasted you almost 2 years, the ones I get barely lasts a year, and that's with warranty replacement .

Pros: lasted almost 3 years
Cons: barely lasts a year

I’m on my 3rd battery since Nov 2021. Every time it has lasted me 1 year and 3-4 months. Not even 2 years.

I don’t have a parasitic drain. I don’t use AC a lot. I don’t jumpstart cars with it. There is no excessive load on it. Yet, they all lasted less than 2 years.

Pros: no parasitic drain
Cons: lasted less than 2 years

Battery died less than 12000 miles. Apparently Mazda is using cheap batteries, as this seems to be a common issue. But I still see others complain about the same thing.

Cons: died early, cheap quality, common issue
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 12000 km
