Alternator OEM FORD or AC DELCO

I went with RockAuto as well, but went with the AC Delco Gold Reman that was wound to have 135 Amp output instead of the OEM standard (~110 I think) I want to say it was around ~$170 with a $45 core deposit. AC Delco is a solid name in parts, and I believe was reman'd in Mexico.

On that list, I'd only go with the AC Delco.

Only brand here I am confident with is ACDELCO, Wai I’ve installed due to customer already having the part but I cannot swear to its reliability.

AC Delco makes a good product. Alternator technology is really old, so it's not difficult to do right.

I have the acdelco in my old Comanche and it works great.

Personally the AcDelco would be my top choice here with these options going new and not a reman.

- Alternator is intermittent

- Rear bushes are audibly fucked

- Radiator fan packed up so it overheats when idling in warm weather

ACDELCO because if I get another API alternator that’s defective I’m going to kill somebody

My neighbor had a Ford mustang and he had to jump start it about once a week. I checked the alternator and it had power when the car was off. Bad diode.

I have a shitty looking Ford Focus that I maintain myself...The alternator failed and I couldn't be bothered doing the work myself so I took it to the local dealer.
