Alternator OEM Audi or AC DELCO

If those are your only options you're gonna go with, Remy or ACDELCO. Keep in mind the ACDELCO is not made by ACDELCO and is just rebranded. But has a warranty and decent support.

Just got mine done today. I purchased the car used and was in with Audi chat trying to get the window sticker. They let me know the car had open service action and was for the alternator. Dropped it off and got it back the same day.

It’s your alternator not the battery, the coding of the battery is important, but will only extend the life battery will not cause it to be dead in three days

I always get AC Delco from RockAuto... never had one bad out of the box... Can't really speak to any other brands.

My 19 c8 3.0 had the same exact issue within 4 months of buying it last year. And the car died on me mid fwy in dtla. Take it in to ur nearby dealer theres an open recall on the alternator i believe.

Might be a coincidence, but those lights all came on about a month before the Electical System: Malfunction light came on in my 2021 S6. They replaced my battery and alternator.

I took the alternator apart as well, but it's quite worn and a new one does not cost a fortune, so it's not worth it to refurb it.

ACDELCO because if I get another API alternator that’s defective I’m going to kill somebody

Mine failed at 55k a couple of weeks ago. A couple months prior to this I had complained to the dealership and showed them all the reports of this issue online... At the time they denied any knowledge of the alternator issue.

Audi really dropped the ball on building such a poor performing alternator!
