I've used Bosch plugs for many years all types and never ever had one single issue.
I've used nothing but Bosch in my 2L and never ever had any issues.
Anyways, I put in so Bosch Tri-Electrodes and Beru coilpacks. Once I got the APR ECU back the car fired right up. I drove it for a good hour and no misfires!!!
In my B3 Vr6, about 3yrs ago, I swapout the NgKs to Bosch Fusion 4-prones and my mileage went from 17 or so to 32mpgs. My car responded better and better mileage.
I've been using Bosch FR8LDC in my car for years with good results.
Now running the Bosch +2 Platinums and my MPG jumped from about 21 to 25! A lot of others will tell you not to mess w/ the platinums but they are doing well for me.
I am at 20,000 miles with my 07 VW GTI that has several modifications including a chip and I am about to change my spark plugs. I have heard many people say that the colder application spark plugs will work better for my car due to the fact that it is chipped. I went to the dealer and purchased the bosch #101-905-631-B spark plugs which the dealer recommends, but I dont know if these plugs are the colder application? Please give me your guys feedback on what plugs I should buy (Part #'s and website that I can purchase them from). I care about my GTI and want it to run the best it possibly can. I appreciate any feedback you guys can give!
Every time I fill up I check my mileage, I could never get great MPG from the FR8DS, but the coppers were way better MPG wise. Throttle response was less as well. The Silbers always looked more sooty during inspections than the coppers. The silver plug will last longer.
Do not use the Silber plugs. Mileage and performance suffers.
I've had nothing but trouble with the Bosch plugs, from their cheap-o line to their IR Fusion line...
