Oil filter VALVOLINE or AC DELCO

AC DELCO Oil filter

I'd only mix in half a quart each OCI, just to keep the oil pump happy. Nonetheless, it'll be fine. My '08 3.3L Chrysler takes 5w20 & I always replace a quart with 5w30 or 0w20, depending on the season. My '06 3.8L Buick takes 5w30, I typically replace a quart with 10w30 since I live in the desert. Doing so, in combination with only using Purolator & ACDELCO (personal preference) filters & changing them every 3k as recommended, keep my engines happy with their age

Pros: engines happy with age

VALVOLINE Oil filter

I like Valvoline Restore and Protect along with the OEM black filter. But also, if your washer fluid lights keeps coming on, just unplug it. It’s so much easier than trying to find an another bump in the road to purposefully drive over to turn off! \ud83d\ude02 some say you can fill your washer reservoir with white vinegar and clean the sensor, but it didn’t work for me.

Pros: Valvoline Restore and Protect, OEM black filter
Vehicle: Subaru

VALVOLINE Oil filter

I have been unfortunate enough to be underneath a customers car, taking the oil filter off, when they decided to fire it up. If that Valvoline didn't put the filter on right, you would have known driving home not In a month.

VALVOLINE Oil filter

I use Valvoline advanced full synthetic or quaker state full synthetic, and those oils seem to hold up very well (ive tried plenty of different brands) and you can buy it anywhere for top off oil. I have been interested in using liquimoly though. For filters, i use k&n, wix, or the nissan oem.

Pros: holds up well, easy to buy

AC DELCO Oil filter

Yup, they’re trash. I had the same thing happen to me in my Cruze when I used a fram oil filter. I have been using ACDelco oil filters for the last few changes with no issues.

Pros: no issues
Cons: trash
Vehicle: Chevrolet Cruze

AC DELCO Oil filter

WIX. AC Delco used to be my go to for gm vehicles but some years back they switched out metal parts for plastic and the filters started to have a higher failure rate.

Pros: WIX is good
Cons: higher failure rate, plastic parts

AC DELCO Oil filter

I got an ACdelco oil filter for a 07 classic GMC duramax and right before installing it I noticed the threads were stripped off and there were big chunks metal shavings clipped off inside it.

Pros: null
Cons: stripped threads, metal shavings
