I use only genuine Toyota oil filters, you can see and feel the quality, they even come with a pre-lubed "O" ring gasket.
RockAuto sells AC Delco oil filters for $9. AC/D dexos 5-quart for $19 and one single quart for $4.
I buy 6 quarts of Pennzoil 5w30 full synthetic and an AC Delco filter for like $38 from Walmart.
In my area I usually buy my Mobil One full synthetic at Walmart in the 5qt jug for roughly $22, use what I need (my vehicle uses litters ...) My Delco filter is like $6.
This Yaris basically ruined me WRT engines/serviceability. It has a tiny engine bay yet nothing is in the way of anything else, there's plenty of room to work and you can change the battery or a headlight bulb in a couple minutes. I mean, look how the oil filter is just right there under the 2nd intake runner (and pointing down). That's the starter next to the oil filter, comes out with two bolts.
Original Toyota is the only way to go, try one, you can see and feel the quality difference, they even come with an "o" ring instead of the flat gasket others use and it is PRE-LUBED!

For my car that would be about $800 at the dealer (they are usually $35-$40 with coupon). Five years in and I am right around $1000. It has had about eight oil changes at the dealer (generous $400), an alignment ($100), a battery ($90), a set of Michelins ($400), a wiper blade refill ($10) and a couple engine/cabin air filters (maybe $50).
OEM toyota oil filters for my vehicle. They're like $5 from the toyota dealership, and worth it.
