Alternator Denso or AC DELCO
I had the AC Delco alternator (an OEM part) in my 1994 Saturn SL2 rebuilt in 2015 by Alternator & Starter Co. At the time, no new OEM or aftermarket alternators were available for a Saturn that old, and the guru who advised me on Saturn repairs told me I would have better luck with a local rebuild rather than a commercially remanufactured replacement.
A rebuilt Denso is fine and much cheaper. $200 on RockAuto after core refund. Trust me they are perfect to use. You don't need a brand new one from Honda.
I'm showing a new acdelco 135amp alternator for roughly $163 plus shipping through rockauto.
Acdelco is oem for GM. They make high-quality parts, never been disappointed by one.
A rebuilt Denso brand alternator will be reliable. Denso box or a Honda box is what I trust, no other brands/savings are worth it.
I worked at a parts place and denso reman is the best. People hear reman and think it’s cheap, but denso is literally the OEM, they take it apart and replace the internals with new ones.
I replaced the my 2010's alternator with a reman denso from RockAuto. Did it myself. Pretty straightforward. I would say a reman denso is better than a new non denso. Some cheap alternators are very unreliable. I've had no issues thus far. It's been about 4 months.
Denso is reputable and quality I doubt you'd run into any issues
I’d recommend DENSO reman as they make a bunch of OEM stuff for our cars. Recently put a denso in my car after I got the pure energy brand on rock auto that failed.
I went through five alternators last year on my personal car. All five had different separate failures and all failed within a total of four months combined.
Broke down and had a mobile mechanic install a no-name Advanced Auto Parts type branded remanufactured one. Ended up failing in 3 months.\n\nHad my trusted mechanic install a Denso remanufactured and have had no issues since.
